Wolfis a beautiful, blue-eyed purebred Husky. He was found wandering an industrial area of Gilbert, skinny and very hungry. After 2 months of trying to locate his owner & getting him back to a healthy weight, he was neutered & vaccinated so he could be placed up for adoption. He is approx 1 year old, very playful, & a big boy @ approx 75. He is really shy around strangers, but once he warms up to you, he likes to lean on you for scratches, and loves belly rubs. Craves attention. He is not housebroken fully but is doing well w/ his training!
Wolf is a big guy who doesn’t realize it, so would need some obedience training to help him out. Probably not do well around toddlers as he doesn’t know what a big guy he is. He is very smart & has learned basic commands in only a day.
He will need to go to a home without smaller dogs or cats. He can be jealous of other dogs, as well as territorial at feeding and snack times. An easy thing to overcome by feeding him separately. We have been working with him on these issues, and have started to see improvement. He will need a big yard to run in and tall fencing, as he can climb.
Wolf is very active, loves attention and needs a playful person or another dog to play with him.
He would be best suited for a home with either other large dogs, or where he is the only dog, no small children, and a big yard.
