My name is Texas but I will answer to Tex. A big name for a small 8lb dog. I would like a forever home with an older person or couple where I would be the only pet. I do ok with other low key, submissive dogs but high energy dogs scare me and so do cats! Small kids make me nervous so I usually stay in my kennel where I feel safe. I like teenagers that will hold and play with me. I am learning to play with toys now for the first time! My owner had to move & give me up. At night I will sleep in my kennel in your bed cuddling right next to you. I obey simple one word commands. I am house trained & I enjoy sun bathing on the patio, reading and watch tv with someone and will bark at door bells or very loud noises. At first when meeting me, I am a shy but when you get to know me I am a very sweet, gentle, cuddy dog.
